A close-knit fiber community since 2000
Joan Sheridan started Heritage Spinning and Weaving in 2000 because she couldn't find the spinning and weaving supplies she needed close to home. The store quickly blossomed from a shared building in historic downtown Lake Orion, Michigan, to fully occupying the 3,000 square foot space where it still resides. The shop is always a hive of activity and is known for it's traditional and family yarns for knitters and crocheters, as well as being a well-stocked resource for weavers and spinners. Of note, the shop carries the Rauma Norwegian line of yarns and has ALL the colors of jumper weight Shetland yarn from J&S and Jamieson's of Shetland (Spindrift).

Honestly I could max out the character limit and still not say enough great things about this store, the selection across multiple crafting disciplines is amazing, the staff are knowledgeable and so nice, and the second chance section has been all too tempting to resist every time...

Location
We are located in a vibrant historic downtown. Plan to spend some extra time when you visit to stroll through our tiny village, dine, shop and take in the goodness.
We are open 11 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday.
