Cabled Cap pattern

“Inspired by a swatch for an introductory cable class, this cap is a nice introduction to cables and bobbles. The lower portion of the cap is knit in a strip and joined to resem¬ble a headband, then stitches are picked up around and decreased for the crown. An I-cord accent finishes up the bottom edge." ~Joan

Size:
Adult average. Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Worsted weight, sample made with Ella Rae Classic.
One color: 180 yds/165 m.

Needles and Notions:
US 7/4.5 mm and US 6/4.0 mm for circular knitting or size(s) to achieve gauge, two cable needles, tapestry needle, smooth scrap yarn for provisional cast on.
