Join us for Crochet Day 2026: A Celebration of Crochet! Choose from three different ways to celebrate with us. Beginning Crochet, Lavender Bookmark, or Granny Square Pouch. Each participant will receive a goodie bag with special treats so you can continue the celebration on your crochet journey. For ages 12+ accompanied by a participating adult.
Lavender Bookmark - You’ve learned how to crochet, what’s next? Participants will learn Chart reading, gauge and tension, long tail cast on, half double, double, and treble crochet stitches. If time permits, a discussion on the different types of crochet from toys to garments, and more.
Agenda:
Participants are on their own for lunch, noon to 1:00 pm.

Required Supplies/Equipment/Books:
Scissors, tapestry needle, tape measure, items you have made in the past and bring lots of questions. Lavender Bookmark Kit which includes 8/4 Brassard cotton yarn and ChiaoGoo US D/3.0 mm crochet hook.
Class fee includes:
Pattern, handouts, and a locking stitch marker.
Prerequisite:
Must know how to chain and single crochet; must be comfortable working with a sport weight yarn with a smaller hook.
Pre-Class Prep:
Make a 6” by 6” square in single crochet made from any light colored non-fuzzy yarn with appropriate hook for the yarn weight. Purchase required kit prior to 7/26/2026. You may order it online and pickup in-store the day of the event.
