Crooked Path Hat pattern

As I am a weaver and a lover of all things Norwegian, it is only logical that I design a knitted hat based on my favorite weaving technique: krokbragd, which translates to "crooked path." Krokbragd is used for weaving rugs, wall coverings, table runners and coverlets. It is simple structurally, yet complex in design possibilities. These motifs are traditional but the colors are all mine and follow the Fair Isle stranding rule of using only two colors in any one round." ~ Joan

Size:
Aproximately 19". Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Fingering weight, sample made with Jamieson's Spindrift (25 g, 115 yds/105 m) and Jamieson & Smith (J&S) 2-Ply Jumper Weight (25 g, 125 yds/115 m). 
Seven colors:
(A) 123 Oxford - 115 yds (105 m);
(B) 182 Buttercup - 57 yds (53 m);
(C) J&S FC7 Salmon Orange Marl - 57 yds (53 m);
(D) J&S FC11 Bright Grass Green - 38 yds (34 m);
(E) J&S FC22 Bright Pink Mix - 29 yds (26 m);
(F) 155 Bramble - 29 yds (26 m);
(G) 150 Atlantic - 29 yds (26 m).

Needles and Notions:
US 1/2.5 mm and US 3/3.25 mm for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Skills:
Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart.
