Dogwood Hat pattern

"Early spring is the time for dogwoods. Some of the first flowering trees in our Michigan forests, they always take my breath away with their beauty. This traditional Shetland motif even incorporates a colorway called “Dog Rose.” ~Joan

Size:
Approximately 21". Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Fingering weight, sample made with Jamieson’s Spindrift (25 g, 115 yds/105 m). 
Six colors:
(A) 179 Buttermilk - 25 yds (23 m);
(B) 104 Natural White - 45 yds (41 m);
(C) 268 Dog Rose - 35 yds (32 m);
(D) 292 Pine Forest - 65 yds (59 m);
(E) 336 Conifer - 35 yds (32 m);
(F) 329 Laurel - 25 yds (23 m).

Needles and Notions:
US 1/2.25 mm and US 3/3.25 mm for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Skills:
Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart.
