Learn to Knit Hat pattern

“This hat is knit in the order that people learn to knit: garter stitch, stockinette, 2 x 2 rib, 1 x 1 rib, decreases and then two kinds of seams - all while learning to read a pattern.“ ~Joan

Size:
Approximately 20" (21, 23”). Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Bulky weight, sample made with Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky.
One color, 125 yds/114 m (150 yds/137 m, 180 yds/164 m).

Needles and Notions:
US 10/6.5 mm or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Skills:
Cast on, knit, purl, 2/2 ribbing, 1/1 ribbing, decreasing, bind off, seams in garter and stockinette stitch.
