Schacht Boat Shuttles

These Schacht boat shuttles are beautifully shaped and well balanced. They are sanded smooth and then given a hand-rubbed Danish oil finish. They fit your hand beautifully, are lightweight at 4 oz, and can easily be thrown across up to 48" warps. The gently upturned ends help keep the shuttle from diving into the warp and the low profile allows it to navigate even small sheds.

The most popular boat shuttle, the 11″ boat shuttle, is offered in slim and regular models.

The largest boat shuttles are 15″ long and can handle fine to medium-weight yarns. Because of their extra length, weight and yarn capacity, weavers often choose these shuttles for wider weaving widths.

Also available are double bobbin boat shuttles that are ideal for doubled weft threads. Two separate bobbin shafts make it possible to remove one bobbin at a time.
