One of the comments I often hear when teaching is, "That one tip was worth the price of admission." This class brings together my experiences of a lifetime of knitting and 27 years of helping others with their knitting at Heritage and around the country. We will talk about yarn and fibers (natural/manmade/the big four), yarn construction (singles and plies), simple things you can do to make your knitting look better, how needle materials and construction affect your knitting, why gauge is important and how to measure it accurately and easily, how to even up ribbing, and more. There is a bit of homework so that we can do some hands-on work in class, but I promise that you will learn things that will give your knitting a new spark! Whether you’ve been knitting for 6 months or 60 years, I know you will benefit from this day-long class.
