Cheery Cherry Cap MFF 2021 pattern

“Each year since 2019, I have designed a hat as a teaching tool to introduce at Michigan Fiber Festival. Each of the hats has a fiber and/or Michigan theme. The 2021 hat has a Michigan summer theme. Designed in the dark days of Covid, it reminded me of hope and summer and all the good that surrounds us. Sun, pines, Great Lakes, and cherries! I hope it makes you smile.” ~ Joan

Size:
Approximately 21". Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Fingering weight, sample made with Jamieson’s Spindrift (25 g, 115 yds/105 m). 
Seven colors:
(A) 410 Cornfield- 53 yds/(48 m); (yellow)
(B) 179 Buttermilk - 26 yds (24 m); (lt. yellow)
(C) 500 Scarlet - 53 yds (48 m); (red)
(D) 730 Deep Navy - 42 yds (39 m); (navy)
(E) 168 Clyde Blue - 53 yds (48 m); (blue)
(F) 764 Cloud - 53 yds (48 m); (lt. blue)
(G) 259 Leprechaun - 53 yds (48 m) (green).

Needles and Notions: 
US 2/2.75 mm and US 3/3.25 mm for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Skills:
Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart.
