Fair Isle Christmas Stocking pattern

“This Christmas stocking provides a great basis for classes. Techniques include provisional cast-on, I-cord bind off, short row heel, changing colors (purl ridges), and stranded knitting. Change colors to make a coordinating "family" of stockings, customize with optional duplicate stitch name in space provided at top.” ~Joan

Size:
Approximately 18"/40 cm cuff to toe.

Yarn:
Worsted weight, sample made with Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride (113 g, 190 yds/174 m).
Five colors:
(A) Red – 110 yds (100 m);
(B) Green – 35 yds (32 m);
(C) Yellow – 35 yds (32 m);
(D) Cream – 35 yds (32 m)
(E) Blue – 50 yds (46 m).

Needles and Notions:
US 5/3.75 mm for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
