Learn the process of knitting a top-down sock and how to make it fit your foot. We will start with a small sized sock and work our way up to the real thing. You will learn how to measure and adjust the fit to get the right fit. We will also explore hands-on different types of needles and circular knitting styles, discuss different heals and toes and more. Some homework is required prior to the first class.

Wednesdays, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20 and 1/27/2027, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This class meets 4 times.
Required Supplies/Equipment/Books:
Knitting needles: US #1 double-pointed or other needles for knitting the small sock. If you prefer to use another method of circular knitting, that is no problem. One skein sock yarn that is more than 400 yards to knit a full size sock. It is suggested that you select a color that is easy for you to see. 20 yards of scrap yarn is optional.
Prerequisite:
Must be able to knit and purl in the round.
Pre-Class Prep:
Using scrap sock yarn or the yarn you have selected for your full-size sock, CO 32 sts using any method you like and join to knit in the round. Place marker and work 20 rounds knit 2/purl 2 ribbing. Leave on needles and bring to class.
