North Woods Cap pattern

"A unisex hat that began life as a Christmas present for my father. Such a challenge to make the “perfect” present for a very special person. I settled on the school colors where I grew up and he was a teacher. In the large size, I even snuck in some hugs and kisses, known in Fair Isle as OXO. Individual charts for average (pictured) and small adult included.” ~Joan

Size:
Approximately 21". Adjust size by changing the needle size.

Yarn:
Fingering weight, sample made with Jamieson’s Spindrift (25 g, 115 yds/105 m).
Five colors:
(A) 587 Madder - 110 yds (105 m);
(B) 101 Shetland Black - 37 yds (34 m);
(C) 110 Black/Sholmit - 55 yds (50 m);
(D) 113 Sholmit/White - 55 yds (50 m);
(E) 304 White - 37 yds (34 m).

Needles and Notions:
US 1/2.25 mm and US 3/3.25 mm for circular knitting or size to achieve gauge.
Stitch marker, tapestry needle.

Skills:
Knitting in the round, two-color stranded knitting, following a chart.
